Splish! Splash! This animation is taking a bath!… but not for too long and with only the necessary amount of water.
I’m so blown away with how many amazing projects I get to work on with so many incredible creatives. “The Water Lovers” animation was the brainchild of Guts Creative, another brilliant creative team coming out of Newcastle. Guts approached me to work up a fun and funky collection of illustrated characters and storyboard for “The Water Lovers” animation. The animation’s aim was to get the younger generation thinking about their use of water.
The big key focus was to highlight all types of water users but not come across “preachy”. The animation was to be the campaign’s call to action so users would then go on to do a quick survey for Hunter Water.
The characters were also built with an eventual evolution into the world of animated gifs. Funky, fun and share-worthy.
Guts Creative took the project lead while I focused on the illustrative assets and storyboards. Once my assets were resolved and signed-off they were handed off to the amazing Isaac Turier for animating. Shortly after that Sawtooth Studios produce the brilliant theme tune.
I’m so impressed with how this project turned out.
