A new year brings new sketches, new plans, and renewed ambition and drive. This can be exciting but also stressful. I love being creative but more often than not I find myself playing the comparison game or feeling hyper-competitive with my fellow creatives. At times this will move me forward with great gusto but like a sprinter in a marathon, I soon find myself exhausted and clutching my side in the fetal position.
This set of iPad doodlings is my attempt to keep the juices rolling in those in-between times when I’m frustrated or paralyzed by another project or part of my life. 2021 has not flicked an invisible switch and turned off the issues of 2020. No, they are still here and it is up to us construct the coping mechanism to get ourselves and others through these tumultuous times.
